I guess I was just making a comparison that if you want to do a job you ought to have the right tools. They don't have to be top$$$ unless you're planning to make a living fixing cars every day.

Your meter should have instructions how to measure voltage, current, or resistance. The repair book for your car will say what measurements you need to make on which wires.

 

i have the same dash lights dont come on when headlights turn on, the dimmer works on the radio and odometer, tried the paper clip to by pass but still dosnt work any suggestions on what i t might be.

 

What if any work lead up to this? Meaning, I just put in a radio and bam......or did this just happen one day with nothing being done or happening to the car?
