Default Dash warning light

I have the warning light - maintenance required - that comes on when I start my 2005
honda accord LX 4 cylinder. My Haynes manual doesn't say anything about shutting off
this warning light. How do I turn this light off. Is there a button somewhere that is
pressed or some other way to stop the light. Thanks for your help.

On my 1999, you have to put the key in the ignition, hold down the trip meter reset button and then turn the key to ON/II while holding the button for approx. 10 seconds.

It should be similar on you car. I know on my moms Acura MDX you have to hold down the trip reset and and the button right next to it. Its probably a similar combination for you as well.

Our 2003 is like Finch describes. If your 2005 has the oil-life monitor, its a little different. But I really think it IS in your owners manual.
