Did I damage the Engine?

Did I damage the Engine?
Did the cooling system draining a few months ago on my baby 95' Accord LX (1st time),
and came back today to change the upper return hose leaking O ring after finally got this
precious piece from Honda Dealer.
Trusted my memory too much (I should never had), during the air purging step, when I saw
the coolant flowing out from the bleed bolt w/o any air bubbles, I stopped filling, forgot to
refill the radiator to the base of the neck, and the coolant level in the reservoir then was only
about 1/2 " ( ~10mm) above the MIN mark (I didn't touch the reservoir this time). Then I ran
the engine at idle for about 25 min. before the 1st fan started. During the begining 20 min. or
so I was monitoring the Temp. gague in the car, and the temp. was OK, but then I was under
the hood checking the leak, feeling the hot hose, watching steam out from the radiator etc.
no idea about where the Temp. gague was pointing. After the 2nd fan, I simply turned off the
engine.
After 3 hours, I was trying to top off the radiator (my memory functioned), and I saw
the empty reservoir. I added about 450 ml coolant to bring the level to the radiator neck,
which means the engine was running with a coolant shortage of 450 ml (10% of the total
coolant capacity maybe) for about 30 min..
Though the Temp. was about 1/3 of the full range of the gague in the first 20 min., and the
fan did run twice, is there any chance that the engine was overheating due to insufficient
coolant in the system, if possible, is there any way to tell?
Thanks in advance!
Michael

RE: Did I damage the Engine?
i DO NOT think yuou did any damage to the engine.........But you say 1 fan came on?? BOTH fans need to come on at the same time .
on the accords both fans come on together, wether the a/c is on . or just to cool the engine down

RE: Did I damage the Engine?
Sorry for the confusion, Deserthonda, both fans came on at the same time. When I said
1st fan, I was trying to say the two fans ran the 1st time, 2nd fan, the two fans ran the
2nd time, terrible wording, my apology!
Thanks a lot guys! I can have a better sleep today.
Again, appreciate your help!
