Default Disable panic button

Does anyone know if it's possible to disable the panic button on the '98 Accord EX transmitter. I'm having a problem that when I'm working around the house, but within close proximity of my car, sometimes my keys, coins, or whatever trigger the panic button thus sounding the car alarm. I live in an apartment complex, and I hate to keep disturbing the neighbours with my alarm. I'd like to find a way to disable the panic button OR just disable the alarm altogether without affecting the keyless entry.

there's no built in way of disabling it, but you could always open up the unit and unsolder the button, or add a switch to the mix to enable/disable it.. but you could still run into the problem of something first enabling it, then hitting it...

I think I might try that.
