Default Does this look like the right part?

I took this shaft out of the passenger side of my 90 Accord. It's a 2 door coupe, Automatic, without ABS.I ordered a new inner boot for it andthe auto parts place got me a boot that isround.Did the auto parts place just get me the wrong part or is the shaft not correct. I ordered another boot from another parts place but they wont know until it comes in if the boot is correct or not.

Here's a picture of the boot itself if it helps

Looks like you have thecorrect axle. That inner driver is shown as #7 here. That means the parts place got the wrong boot.

Thanks, I was looking at that same picture in www.hondapartsdeals.com. I wasn't sure if it looked the same or not so I figured mabye someone else changed or rebuilt one out of a early 90's model and remembers what the part looked like. I'll be getting another part tomorrow from a different parts place. Hopefully it's the right part this time.

in my opinion I would buy aftermarket new replacement axles, they have a lifetime warranty usually and by replacing the boot you dont know how long the axle will last.

Looks like you have an aftermarket axle there. Never seen anything like that come from Honda.

turns out it was the wrong part. Thats why when I had a mechanic put a new boot clamp on, it was torn off in no time. There was not enough clearance for the clamp. I bought a new shaft and it looked totally different.
