Default Door Lock Squeals

The rear left door lock on my '95 Accord EX squeals when I lock the car. My guess would be the actuator went bad. Does anyone have knowledge or experience about this?

Thanks,
Dennis

One or both of the rubber stops in the actuator probably broke off. You can repair it. Refer to this thread:

rear door lock actuators are not an easy deal. I mean you need to be able chew gum and walk at the same time kinda thing.

Is it possible to just cut the power to this lock, since I do not use the back doors at all?

Thanks

Removing the actuator to work on is not very difficult. The door panel needs to be remove to access it.

If you simply want to cut power to the actuator, remove the door panel and just unplug the one connector to the actuator.

Go download a service manual from one of the links in this forum.
