Default Driver side window motor fatigue

Does anyone have a "simple" method of fixing this.

Window slides down slowwwwwww.
Window slides up slower.

Its been replaced once, about 4 years ago. Would it be better replaced with a newer motor or am I way off on that.
Its the 96 Accord LX Wagon that has the problem.
My 2005 window works much better and faster.
Ideas appreciated
Thanks
Al
