Hi Fellow Accord owners. I have a 2017 LX and I am unable to figure out how to open the trunk from inside the car. The level says push to open gas tank and pull to open trunk but I am unable to pull it or unlock the trunk. Is this an issue or I am doing something wrong ?

 

It sounds like that lever is locked with the key. That is lockable so you can prevent a valet-parking-guy from getting into the trunk.

There should be a lock cylinder down there at the lever. Use the ignition key to unlock the lever... The valet key won't be able to unlock the lever. Same with the locking glovebox.

 

Thank you. I moved the lock into unlock position and was able to unlock the trunk.
