E P S +.- **** on dash. What does it do?

I have a 1997 Honda Accord wagon with the 2.3 l single cam v-tec motor. On the dash is a **** marked E P S with 3 positions + . - It doesn't appear to do anything ? What should it do ???

I googled this and found out that on some Japanese models (??) that itis used to change the power steering feel. It is an electrical unit for the steering not hydraulic. What a trip!! I guess you have a Japan/Kiwi car mate.

Excellent ! ! You are quite correct -- it is a Jap import and everything adds up. I switched the **** tominus (-)last week and then forgot I had, as it didn't seem to do anything, but later noticed that the steering was much lighter round town and didn't associate it with the eps ****! ! Now I can have nice light steering around town and firm feel cruising. Many thanks.....
