Exclamation ecm problems?

I'm having problem s with my 94 Honda accord it has a f22 b vtec idk what the motor came out of the computer isstock the person before me took it to a shop n they said some bypassed something on the harness? it does not idle right it redlines low not getting very good MPG power is there but it feels like there should b so much more ...

what do I do?

does anyone know anything about this or had any similar issues? this is my second import my first was a 91 Acura so I'm familiar with jdm motors the code said the motor is not corrisponding with computer how did they make this motor work? what do I have to do to put in a performance ecm ? will it plug right in?

First, you read the error code(s) about "motor not corresponding with computer" ???
I've never heard of such an error code. What was the actual code number?

Default thats what a shop said that put it on a computer said

I tried reading the codes but I could not find the grey plug in I thought it would b under the driver side dash but I can't find it I know its a newer motor could there b a plug in I could paper clip by the glove box?

On a 94 I think the SCS connector is over near the glovebox?

There's a sticky-thread about "common DIY". In there is a link to some instructions for reading the codes. IIRC it's pretty detailed about where to find the connectors.

Getting the actual code number is more like the "primary information". Sometimes one of us on this board would have other suggestions & insight if we knew the more basic information.

thanks man you have really helped. the plug in is on the side I'll go to the link.the place my dad got the car from also did the swap on it they said it needed the computer that went to the car the motor came out of....they wired the cars original computer so the v tech motor would run with that computer ..I think that there maybe other issues though it idles up n down at start an is hard to start when cold.it feels like it should have more power idk I have to get to the bottom of it thank u for your help it is much appreciated

Probably help if we knew what year the engine comes from. It's good they used the computer that matched the engine. Some people don't know to do that.
