Default EGR Port - Cleaning with Solvent

Is there a method by which the EGR ports on our cars can be cleaned via using a solvent such as Sea Foam or any other for that matter? I read about somebody using one of their vacuum lines to suck the solvent out of the can and into the system to dissolve the carbon build-up... but I can't remember where I read it now. Can this be done and is it adviseable?

Thanks!

I don't know about honda's but I used to take WD-40 and spray it inside there and shake it around *L* and that seemed to work...
