EGR Valve test

Ok so ive decided to just adjust the valves clear the EGR valve and clean the Intake manifold all at once.... ill let you know what this does... let me know what you think?

With the engine warmed fully at idle.....stick yer finger under the top of the EGR valve and push the pintle up. The engine should stumble or stall, if it keeps idling normally the ports need cleaned.

keep it simple stupid... LOL.. true true... so what could be causing my acceleration problem if it is not the EGR valve or ports... ?
