recently bought a 2004 2.0 accord tourer which has a faulty electric tailgate - honda have ordered new hinge/motor under warranty, however i have read this seems to be a common problem and am wondering if it will simply break again but next time not under warranty, has anyone any views on this ? also one side of the one touch folding rear seats is not working properly (you have to pull the cushion part up manually) is this also a common problem ? any advice would be greatly appreciated !

 

Where are you? Most of us are in USA (there aremany exceptions) and we don't get the tourer (station wagon?) here any more. Last time we got it, there was no electric tailgate.

Hopefully someone will try to help, but just a little background if you wonder why nobody responds right away.
