Hi after some advice my accord tourer tailgate wont lock also central locking not working but will open doors when lock by key.

When lock by the key all doors lock apart from tailgate any1 any ideas

 

On Honda Accords, the tailgate does not lock electrically, only manually. There is an electrical unlock, but not lock. Your Tourer could be different. The trunk key lock will cause the door locks to electrically lock.

Is this the 2009-2010 euro tourer?

For the tailgate lid, there is a problem with the latch. It should lock when the tailgate lid is closed. Are you still under a factory warranty?

For your other locking problem, the car has programmable door locking option features. Refer to your owner's manual to see if you can get the door locks working by trying the programming sequences. If not, it may be a problem with the door multiplex control unit.

 

its an 06 mate and just cant lock it and theres no key lock to do it manually

 

I understood that... the later Hondas don't have a key lock for the rear tailgate or trunks. They open by a release cable manually from the interior of the car or via a solenoid by remote. When the tailgate is closed, the latch suppose to lock. There is a problem with the latch.

 

Thanks for reply sorted it this morning disconnected battery then re connected then forced a screwdriver in the lock which luckily locked the mechanism while tailgate was open so just unlocked with fob and all going again.Still a mystery to how failed in 1st place
