battery light on,draining battery. altanater is good and coil.

1990 LX Battery light is on draining battery. Already have checked altanator and coil! help

Welcome!

I'm gonna move this to the 'general tech' area so more people are likely to notice it & respond.

The coil should not be related to your problem.

Exactly how did you check the alternator? It really sounds like your alternator is NOT OK.

Had 24 amps coming off main lead on altanater and 12 volts off of 4prong connecter when car running. I think it may be a short some were. When I disconect 4 prong connecterbattery light goes off.

Had altanater checked out at napa and chucks and they siad it was good

Won't it charge up to 13.5 or so when it's running?

Start pulling fuses until the 24 amp load goes down. See if it'll charge up then.
