engine compartment

What is the best way to clean my engine and the engine compartment without damaging anything?

Most old world mechanics will say, "If it ain't broke, don't eff with it." Many folks get away with cleaning the engine bay, many end up with problems which can take months to sort out.

My advice, leave it alone.
