Default Engine replacement
1999 Honda Accord DX 4 dr, 2.3L, 4cyl, 5 speed, non VTEC engine w/ A/C how do I take out and replace w/ used/rebuilt engine?.
Just got car. Limited mechanical experience.

I don't know if that's a job for "limited mechanical experience". What's the biggest auto-repair job you HAVE done?

What tools do you have? What can you use for an engine hoist?

I can get hoist and any tools necessary. I have two sons who work on VW's who can give me a hand too. Also, a neighbor does some mechanical work.

It's a big-enough job that I'd invest in a good shop manual for it. Helm publishes the "official" book and I think it's worth it.
