Hi,
I'm new to this forum, I have a 98 accord LX and it stalls intermittingly at stop lights, when trying to start it will turn over but won't stay on after a few trys and pressing gas it will start and work perfectly. This doesn't happen all the time, but is a problem as cars blow me down to get out the way. I don't know what to troubleshoot, any assistance is greatly appreciated.

How's your tune-up stuff? Spark plugs, wires, timing, idle setting, valve adjustment?
It sounds like you need to cleanyour IACV &adjust the base idle speed, but any of those other things can get involved to confuse the issue.

Get OBD11 CODE CHECK from there you will see what is the trables with your car.
Get tool loan from Auto Zone part then post your troble code ?###.
No more squandering ??????????.
If is code P0401 check your EGR valve port but find out what is the code in the OBD11 first.

IACV = Idle Air Control Valve.
On a 4-cyl engine it's bolted to the underside of the throttle body. Not sure about a V-6 but you didn't say what you have...
It's job is to bypass a little air thru the throttle body, as controlled by the ECU to hold the idle steady.
