Engine Swap....Need help...

Default Engine Swap....Need help...

I first timer here. Have searched the internet for answers but came up empty handed.....So, Im here. I have swapped Vtech 4 cyl engines from a 01 Vtech 5Spd into a 99Vtech Auto. Everything is plugged in and all grounds are clean, tight, connected as they should......Engine will crank, getting gas......ZERO SPARK......I changed ignition coils and still nothing......What are my options?????? Thanks guys !!!!

If you're not getting spark on none of your coils you need to TS further down to the distributor. Ensure you're getting power to it and if so look at it.

I got it figured out. After I swapped the ignition coil I didnt get a wire connected onto the coil. I still cant figure out why both vehicles drove into my shop, then I swapped engines and the donor engine had a bad coil........Are these coils that sensitive? Never had that problem before on any coil.....

Not sure what wire wasn't hooked up. If the spark couldn't get to the distributor, the high voltage in the coil will find a path to ground. The high voltage could generate enough heat to crack the coil and make it useless, or leave a carbon track to ground, so the spark would not make it to the distributor.
