Default erratic rpm and vibration at stop light

So I've been having two problems lately.

The first one which hasn't been solved yet.

The first problem is the erratic rpm on idle when the car is warming up. It jumps up and down between 900-1200rpm.

This was after an acquaintance was trying to solve the check engine light (which was solved, ignition coil was the problem).

He cleaned out the fuel injector and probably the fitv/iacv.

I'm not quite sure what he did (wasn't there at the time) but after what he done, the problem arise.

The second problem... The car seems to vibrate roughly once in awhile when I'm at stop light (mostly in the morning after the car warms up, sometimes in the afternoon).

I thought it could be shortage since I notice the vibration stop anytime I touch anything electrical item such as the A/C or the car door lock.

If anyone can help me on this, I really appreciate it since I've been trying to figure this out myself for the past months.

Thanks!

I would pull off the air intake hose going to the throttle body, start the car, and cover the lower port with your finger. If the idle stabilizes, then clean then tighten the FITV. There is a writeup in the main DIY section that will help you.

Air in the coolant can cause this too. Have you replaced your coolant lately?

Hi PAHonda.

Thanks for the response!

If I'm not mistaken, I replaced the coolant a couple of years ago.

I also forgot to mention that during the vibration at the stop light, I'm hearing "popping" noise from the hood. It's hard for me to actually identify the problem since anytime I open the door or put the car in park, the sound disappear.

Do you think it could also be an issue with the air in the coolant?
