I have a 97 accord that is running great. However, the tachometer has begun to bounce erratically. It does not effect how the car runs and does not do it all the time, but it is happening more frequently. Any ideas about the cause would be great.

 

Unlike all other Hondas, on 1995-1997 6-cyl ONLY, the tach signal comes from the coil. People have frustrated themselves for awhile before replacing the coil out of frustration. I never owned one of those cars, so don't know a good absolute diagnosis.
