Default exhaust resonance

Hello all. Great site. I have two accords. One is a 97 lx 2 door that I just did some long overdowork on.Brakes, MC, half-shafts, radiator, tune up and exhaust. I've done all this work before so it went over fine except the exhaust. The car needed a B-pipe/cat back. The factory pipe on the car had the flex section in front of the resonator. Allthe OE aftermarket pipes have the flex behind it. No exceptions. I figured what the hell, can't make that much of a difference. Well, I'm not sure if it's the placement of the flex or something else, but at 2600 rpms the car sounds like a dying moose. Serious resonance. Icalled honda about the pipe and their of no help. Their not even sure what the configeration would be on the pipe if I ordered through them. It's a little ridiculous. I'm thinking of putting an 8" flex on the aftermarket pipe where it was on the original just to see what happens but thought I'd first see if anyone here might knowsomething about this. jackson
