I just bought a 2008 Accord Coupe EX V6 with 18,000 miles on it. The car was not certified preowned, and was not serviced at Honda (so I don't have the detailed service records) but was purchased from a reputable Honda dealer, was mechanically checked out to be up-to-date service wise, and is in immaculate condition.

The new car/bumper to bumper warranty expires in January 2011, and I believe the power train is covered until January 2013. I purchased a returnable extended warranty for $2000, that extends the new car/bumper to bumper warranty for 5 years and does not have a deductible.

I plan to trade-in the car in two years for a new one. My question is, should I keep the warranty considering this situation? Or should I return it and get my money back?

I am hesitant because I don't have the service records, and also because the car has so many bells and whistles that could potentially break, but also don't want to pay for something useless.

Thoughts/what have you guys done if in a similar situation? Thanks!
