1989 ACCORD LX,4 CYLINDER, 5 SP MAN TRANSMISSION

My front driver side exterior door handle is broken and I need help in finding the part and installation.

 

Suggest checking for parts w/ car-part.com and ebay. You may have to buy a whole door to get parts, so look for local parts.

Go to hondahookup.com and manuals link. There is a 1989 Accord manual for download. This will provide guidance on door panel removal and access to door handle.

There's a good video by ericthecarguy at youtube on window regulator replacement. It shows the basics of door panel removal.

Not sure if you are worried about color or not (the LX and LXi have painted ext handles)....not too bad of a job, there is a plastic clip...be careful with it. If you get a used one, you can swap the lock cyl so you key still works.....
