Exterior Door Handle

Hello,

The door handle on my 96 accord is broken. In my search to replace the handle, I noticed that most of the replacements are plastic. Does anyone know if the plastic handles are durable??

It lasted 17 years didn't it? I wouldn't hesitate it to replace it with another plastic one.
