Default F22A1 Cylinder Block Numbers

Greetings All.
I have 2 1990 Accord F22A1s, a very tired one currently in my coupe (5 speed manual) and one (low mileage) saved from grandmothers 4 door (automatic) in storage which I would like to use. The are both F22A1s but there are a couple of differences in the other block markings. I have been attempting to find definitive answers on the net but have had no luck.

MY Engine:
HA
F22A1
3640806 USA PTO-8

Grandmothers Engine:
HM
F22A1
1018367 HM PTO-6

Note: My block has reinforcing ribs cast on the outside of the cylinders while Grandmothers block is smooth in the same area.

Can someone here educate me on the differences between these 2 blocks? ANY information would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

3640806 USA PT0-8
1018367 HM PT0-6

The 3640806 and 1018367 are the engine block serial numbers, unique for every engine.

PT0 is the part number for Accord 90-93 or 92-95 Prelude Engine Component. You'll find the PT0 as part of other engine components for 90-93 Accords and 92-95 Preludes.

The USA block probably was assembled in Marysville, Ohio.

The other engine block may have been assembled in Japan.

The cars' VIN will help confirm.

The numbers 6 and 8 may be a version number.
