Default Few problems with a 96/97

1- The drivers side window will not roll up - I'm assuming the motor or regulator. It gave her some problems where it was slow to go up or down and when she would rev the car, it'd speed up. Not its just stuck down. How hard Is it to get the door panel off, what years parts will work, and what part do you think it is???

2 - abs light comes on after about 60 seconds of the car being cranked. You can hear a hissing sound as if a compressor is out and leaking, then you hear a click and the light comes on. Any suggestions??

3 - speedometer and odometer not working. I took a video for her, sometimes it will work sparatically (on the right speed and then it drops to zero and bounces back to the right speed). However, most of the problems are that they don't work 98% of the time. In two tanks of gas, it has work 52 miles (speedometer and odometer start working and shutting off together.) Any ideas??

1- it is pretty easy to take the door panel off. Phillips screw on the door pull and the door handle, panel then pries off, start at the bottom. Also search "Eric the car guy" on youtube. He has a video about the window regulator that will help you.

2- are you saying you activate the starter for 60 seconds? Yes you may have some problem with the ABS but more importantly you have some problem with your motor. You should not ever have to crank the car for more than 2-3 seconds. You are going to destroy the starter if you crank it for 60 seconds to start it. Let me know if I understood you incorrectly.

3 - VSS it likely needs replacing. It is located on the top of the transmission. You need to remove the rubber intake in order to get to it. It is held on by 2 - 10mm bolts

2- Someone else will have to answer your ABS question as I know nothing about the system. I am glad you are not cranking your car for a min

3 - about $100 new, suggest ebay or junk yard.

2- no I'm not stupid. I was on my phone late typing that. It should've said after its been cranked for about a minute or two, not that I'm cranking it that long...

3- found one at autozone, but I'm heading to the junkyard Thursday for some other parts, so I guess I'll look for that too...
