Question Filter to the rescue?

Hi all, I recently aquire a 2000 Accord 4clr with 67k miles on odm. I am aware of the tranny problems on this model. My mec, certify by Honda, tell me that the tranny is working good and the fluid looks fine. He recomend me to install a external filter and an oil cooler. He tells me that it will keep it out of trouble for many miles ahead. Opinions Please!!

Thanks in advance!

It's definitely not a bad idea to install a serviceable filter and an oil cooler. Both can be had at a reasonable price from an auto store, just make sure you put a decent oil filter on it.

Thanks for the reply, the external filter is Honda original and is use in newer models. Installation, parts (oil cooler, filter, tranny oil) $182.00. Sounds good to me!
