Default Finding a mechanic?

I hope I'm posting under the right topic...

I bought my 2000 Honda Accord from my brother and he has kindly done minor maintenance work (oil changes, brakes, etc.) throughout the years. I don't want to keep bugging him with my Honda's general maintenance and wonder if there is a website or database with Honda approved and recommended mechanics by zip code. I'm a woman with little mechanical know-how and would prefer to find a trustworthy source. Would anyone have any suggestions?

Honda doesn't have a list like that because it would drive their dealerships out of business. Where are you located maybe a member here is local to you and can recommend a place.

An investment ($40) in an Angie's List subscription may be your best option. I have used Angie's List to find service help for fencing, sprinker system, painters, etc w/ good results.

Look for A rating w/ at least 5 positive reviews. Go by and meet the person who would service or manage your service. If you feel comfortable, give them a chance on next service.

good luck

Thank you for your responses!

It makes sense that Honda wouldn't encourage such listings. Angie's List sounds great although I've decided take my car to a Honda dealership for general maintenance since they will be able to tell me if there have been any recalls and I'll know that they are familiar with my car. I'll use Angie's List for future maintenance.

Btw... I'm in Orange County, CA. If anyone has any recommendations, I'd appreciate those as well.

Thanks again, everyone!

There's Yelp reviews; but, take them with a grain of salt.
