Default footwell lighting in 2004

I wanted to install some LED's in the footwell of my car, (5spd), and i cant figure out where to tap into for the power, im guessing ill have to use the wires that power the panel lights, but i dont even know where to start...

When I installed my 3 gauges for my car, I actually soldered the wires into the cigarette lighter for power. I liked it there b/c it is already hooked up to a fuse and you dont see the wires. Its pretty easy so I would recommend it there as long as you dont have a ton of LED's running and then plug in something that takes a ton of juice.

I had homemade LED bars underneath the dash of my car, and it was pretty easy to install. Bascially I just looked up there, and ziptied the bars to the wires. But before I ziptied them I put a couple layers of electrical tape so it wouldnt dig into them and cut them.

It shouldnt be to hard, and also when you hook it up to the cig. outlet they will automatically turn on/off when the key is in/out, so you wont have to worry about draining the battery...though itd take awhile w/ led's.

what do you mean by soldering them directly into the cig lighter haha im new at this stuff and i dont see how that would hide the wires unless i spliced into somethin else, also i was going to put a switch in as well and i believe i would hook the switch up to the cig lighter right? thank you for the help btw
