Default front windows have a hard time closing?

so my 97 lx has a window issue

the power windows have an issue going up, it may be bad motors but they pop off track and get stuck, if i pop em back in they go up fine. i was looking at the helms manual, and it looks like there should be a window guide track at the top end of the windows, am i correct. how do i go by fixing this issue?

I would probably do two things.

1. Lubricate the run channel inside of the door with silicone paste (not spray). You can use the white grease for caliper pins that you get in the packets at the parts store.

2. Adjust the glass. If you have the shop manual for the 94, page 20-14 starts the procedure. It is pretty simple to do.

Take a look in the shop manual, because it shows a guide pin.

You may not be able to see the pin, because I think it is hidden in the run channel.

Maybe there is a guide pin for the coupe. I would still do the glass adjustment. You want to loosen the bolts holding the glass. You want to pus the window up and towards the back of the car to align it.

yea, ill align the windows in the morning, the passenger side is worse it will turn forward enough to get stuck half way up, ill have to roll down a tiny bit push into place and then finish rolling up, the back windows aer perfectly fine
