Default Closing the Moonroof '04 EX

I seem to have to fiddle with the moonroof switch to close the moonroof . . . Do I understand correctly that there is no "automatic close"? It usually takes 3 or 4 tries to get it to the fully-closed position.
Thanks for any info.
Mike

There is no automatic close; however, if you hold the switch it should close in one try. There may be a problem with the switch sending power to the moonroof close relay (e.g., corrosion, loose terminal for switch or relay, etc.) or even a faulty close relay. There are both an open relay and separate close relay, they are located under the headliner.
