Hard starting 2002 Accord
I've got a 2002 V6 Accord that has been suffering from the dreaded Heat Soak issue which the post on page 11 i have read. Although First thing this morning it would not start when cold. Unless you wait a few seconds and then slowly turn on the ignition , not all the way at first though, but wait for the click sound from the steering colum then turn the key to start position and then she starts. As long as i remember to wait for the click upon turning the key to the second position ( the one before the start pos. ) the will start.
Any thought as to why its difficult/reluctant to start would be greatly appreciated

Is Check Engine Light on, if so get the codes and post. Autozone will usually scan them for you.
Make sure battery is fully charged and battery posts are clean.
Sensitivity to keyswitch position/timing suggests a failing keyswitch assy. Easy DIY job, < 1 hr.
good luck

Thank's for the speedy reply!! no check engine light. Although I do suspect the battery is nearing " It's Time ". The battery posts do seem to grow that powdery like blue crap on them like a chia pet which i should take care of. Thank again super moderator.
