Default fuel door release inoperative

How do I get the fuel door open on a 92 Accord if the inside lever doesn't work? It's not locked as the trunk release does work. I looked in the trunk for a cable but didn't find anyting. Help, I'm almost out of gas.

Thanks,
Dale

Go into the trunk on the drivers side and peel back the liner; there are a couple button retainers that need removed.
Then you should be able to see the cable end going to the fuel door area, it has squeeze clips. You can then remove that end of the cable from the holder to let the fuel door open.
Replacement of the cable is a job I hated to do, rear seat has to come out, scuff plates from the doors, peel back carpet..etc.

You could rig a release in the trunk. Some BMW's have this feature built-in.

good luck
