fuel pump location
where is the fuel pump on a 1991 accord?
im havin trouble with a friends car, he brought it to me with a bad starter and alt, but it still wont start
it acts like it wants to but wont
i removed the maine fuel line from the injector rail and turned the motor over nothing came out not a drop!
i removed the back seat and took that sill cover off then removed what i hoped was the pump but it was just the gauge sending unit.
WHERE oh WHERE? can it be? haha
does it sound like im on the right track here?
the motor will run if i spray carb cleaner into the intake hose so i assume it has plenty of spark
anyhelp is appreciatec

RE: fuel pump location
Download the shop manual from the ONLINE MANUALS link in the DIY section. Its the hondahookup link. The component location index for the fuel system is in chapter 6 in the beginning.
Before you go to change the fuel pump, make sure there is 12V on the yellow wire at the connector in the trunk. You have to do this within the first two seconds of turning on the key, so you might need and assistant. If you have power then the pump is likely bad.
You will have to drop the gas tank to change the fuel pump.
