How many gallons of gas should my 1996 Accord LX hold?

I know it'd never be complely empty.. and I want to fill it up, then find out my gas mileage.

Or would it be smarter to get it on E, put a certain amount of gallons and divide miles?

Post tips on calculating.. Thanks!

 

the easiest way to do it is to fill your gas tank as full as you can, reset your trip odometer, run for at least half a tank, then fill up the gas tank as full as you can again and record how many gallons it took, then divide the miles on your odometer by the gallons used and it should give you the most exact number you're going to get, fill up at the same location/same pump both times to get the most accurate reading
