Default General CEL question.

I was just wondering if a bad VSS (speed sensor) will cause the CEL to go on. Also, what ways are there to check if the VSS is indeed bad?

One way for the VSS.... if the VSS is bad then the cruise-control won't work.

So for example... if you get an error code for VSS yet the cruise-control works, then you know the sensor is OK so you need to find wiring problems in the car.
