Unhappy H.Accord-SE-06 (Rear wheen issue)

Hi All, I'm new here. I took my Accord in today to a Honda dealer here in Canada (Erin Mills -Mississauga) as I've noticed a screeching noise while I reversing my car. I was told I needed to replace/do
Both rear pads + rotors = $ 594
Front Brake service = $68
ABS and brake flush =$ 149
Powersteering flush = $136
Air pollen filters = $115
Change both rear tires= $397
Alignment = $108

All of the above comes up to $ 1930 including taxes... I am really not sure if they are taking me for a ride.or does this sound reasonable and needs to be done..I 've got 90 kms on the odometer..well, in the meantime I got my oil and transmission fluid changed for $ 150...I understand its better to get it done at the dealer I am not sure if this dealer is pricing me right and if I need the above work-s done? PLEASE SUGGEST/HELP.

That is way too expensive.

Find another shop and get another quote for the work. The work that needs to be done can be handled by any reputable shop. If you are nervous about aftermarket parts, see if you can buy the OEM parts for the shop to install.

Some of the stuff you can do on your own, like the pollen filters. They are very simple.

I don't know what the front brake service means.

Your owner's manual should have the intervals for the proper service intervals.

Wouldn't take it to the dealer for any of those services. A good shop will be able to do all that much cheaper.

I'd get new rear pads and rotors and the brake fluid flush. I'm guessing they're trying to charge more for the brake fluid flush by adding in the "front brake service".

The pollen filters can be changed yourself. Any chain tire shop can handle your tires just fine, most will even check your alignment for free. Make sure you see a printout of the specs before you agree to pay, so they won't sell you something you won't need.

Some mechanics won't install pads if YOU buy them elsewhere. Or they won't warranty the work the same way. It's worth asking the question before you buy your own pads.
