Default Had a friend do a rebuild. Disaster . Help

I have a 94 accord lx 2.2l

So I spun a rod and my buddy who claimed to rebuild honda motors said he would do this one for me for the b18 I gave home out of my old integra

Well.. He called saying he can't get it to start I came over to check the progress.. And the exhaust wasn't hooked up n seemed many things weren't done. Left over bolts...

I brought it home and now taking on the challenge to fix his mess he left.

The slave cylinder doesn't want to be pressed in and hooking everything back up. With spark n fuel delivery what would cause the engine to not turn over?

I put my accord threw a lot I used to live in Cali but after losing my job and home it became my address.

Now I'm in Missouri and want to fix her if possible before looking and saving for a new engine.

We need some more information.

Please list what your friend replaced on this car.

When you try to start the car, does the starter spin the engine? Or won't it fire up (when the engine runs on its own an you release the key)?
