Default Handling issue, (am i going crazy?)

I bought my first accord about a month ago, a '92 lx. I notice everytime i've been on the highway lately the way the car handles feels a little unsafe. I know the power steering in these cars is really light, but when i'm over speeds of 90km/h (50mph?) it feels like one slight flick of the steering wheel is going to send the car off the road, like the tires are always on slick ground. I do live in canada and there is quite a lot of snow, but I usually get this when I'm on a major highway that is entirely clear. Am I going crazy, or do I have some sort of handling problem?

There is a electrical/hydraulic circuit in the PS pump that reduces the steering boost w/ speed. If this feature was not working, you might have the sensation of too much PS power available. My impression of the Honda steering system is the feedback at speed is well damped and very comfortable, so I think something is wrong w/ your PS system.

It is also possible that incorrect caster adjustment could cause this problem. Alignment check may be in order.

good luck

And, if alignment doesn't solve anything, don't forget to check for loose ball joints or steering tie rod ends.
