I have a 2016 Honda Accord and a Galaxy S7 Edge and the phone is linked via Bluetooth to the Honda HandsFreeLink software to control calls and read text messages. Whenever I’m driving and the first text message comes in, the car’s display screen acts as though no message was received and doesn’t display the text or read it aloud. Any subsequent text that’s received is recognized and displayed/read aloud but never the first text. Does anyone know what could be causing this or how to fix it? I tried clearing the cache under the Bluetooth settings with no success. I also tried linking a regular S7 and it works correctly beginning with the first text received.

 

I too have a '16 Accord and it does not read texts from my GS6 Edge, will be going to the dealership later this month for an oil change and speaking with the tech about the issue. If you find out anything in the meantime, please let us know
