Default headlight replacement

My car is a 1994 Honda Saloon 2.0 petrol. Recently smashed the headlight and have got a replacement but can't get the new one in. Is it neccesary to remove the front bumper? Desperate for advice please?

Default RE: headlight replacement

yes you do have to remove the bumper.
first start by removing the grill.
then take out the side markers.
then remove the bolts holding the headlights in, dont forget the ones underniether that are a pain to get to
remove the inner fender plastic from the bumper
take the plastic clips on both the top and bottom of the bumper off, and the two screws on both sides.
pry the headlights up to get to the remaining clips underneath them
now the bumper can be removed.
the re-bar also has to come off so the lights can be removed easier.
now just reverse the steps to put the new ones in.
