Default Heavy steering when the car is cold?

Hi,
I have Accord 2003. The steering wheel is heavy when the car is cold? When I drive it a bit, the steering wheel is back to normal.
I checked the Power steering fluid and its OK.
Any idea what could be the problem?? Thanks

Miles?
My 2003 (4-cyl) doesn't do this at all.
How dirty is the fluid? Maybe change it?

If you don't have luck so far, the PS fluid reservoir has a fine mesh screen, submerged down under the fluid. If that's clogged, maybe it starves the pump when you first start it? If you want to change the PS fluid, that's a perfect time to clean that screen.

Thanks for your reply . The mileage is 90K Accord LX. So I will change the PS fluid. But if you can tell me how to change the PS fluid that will be great. Thanks for all your help!

Mine has less miles, I haven't changed it yet. Basic procedure I used on a couple earlier Hondas...

Lift & support the front of the car.
Find a low-elevation hose-clamp connection where you can disconnect & drain. Have someone run the engine for a few seconds while turning the steering lock-to-lock. Stop engine immediately. Meanwhile, you try to keep the fluid from spraying all over everything.

Remove & clean out the reservoir since the screen is one suspect.

Reconnect the hose & fill the reservoir.
Start engine, turn steering lock-to-lock, stop immediately.
Let the foam settle & top off the reservoir.
Repeat this a couple times; each time it'll make less foam.

The fluid has to say "FOR HONDA" on the bottle. No such thing as universal fluid that's OK for Honda. Genuine fluid from the dealer isn't stupid expensive, last time I checked.
