Default Hello, VSA Questions

New to here and new to Honda!

Just bought a 2006 Accord coupe EX v6 blk/blk

Few questions, I did a little research on the VSA warning light. Randomly the VSA triangle accompanied with "VSA" pop up on the dash and stay there until I shut off the car. If it does appear it more or less is when I first start the car and drive for a few min. I was reading that it might be a brake switch and I am not too worried as I can fix that myself. However I was just concerned as I just bought the car used with no warranty. I also have gotten the traction to kick on in the snow already so it def is a problem someplace in the system.

I come from the world of Ford, been driving a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor before it was totaled. I figured that Honda is relativity reliable and I loved the look of this car.

Any who, thanks and I hope to enjoy my stay here

You need to get the VSA code that is likely stored. My manual suggests you will need Honda Diagnostic System (HDS) to get ABS codes (probably similar or related to VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist?). There may be a diy procedure to extract codes but it's not described in shop manual.

I have 2003-2007 Accord manual and it doesn't mention VSA that I could find. This may be a feature of 2-dr coupes or V6 engines. Manual covers only 4-cyl. engine.

good luck
