Help with 90 accord race car
Hi I don't know a lot about the accord but my cousin has a 1990 with a F22A1 in it. The motor went out on it tonight but I think it may be able to be rebuilt. Here's the thing would it be better to rebuild it or swap it out. In this class it can not be a vtec motor and has to stay stock. We just need something we can get the most power out of and be as close to stock as possible. I know on the D16A6 up can put the D16A1 pistons in it and go form 9.1 to like 11.1 is there any thing we can do like that on the accord?

Since it has to stay stock, then there are not many options. The F22A1 engine for accords is the 2.2L non-vtec engine, and there are not many variations that I can think of.
I would say to swap it with a used one, because that will cost less money.
The H22 prelude engine will bolt into the 90 accord engine bay with some modifications. That info is abundent by searching the web if you are interested. I'd guess that a H22A swap would not be considered a stock setup though.
