Is the D4 light flashing at all? If so, stop by an autozone and have them read the code(s). The connector is behind the ashtray. Post them on here. They will start with the letter P and have four numbers, i.e. P1234.

When was the transmission fluid changed last? Drain a bit of fluid out. Does the fluid look burnt or have any metal shavings in it?

I would change the fluid. Use the Honda ATF from the dealership. I put a link to a DIY writeup about changing the fluid. If you don't have a lift, drive the car around for 10-15 minutes to allow the fluid to mix, then drain and refill.

You also might want to clean out the solenoids.
