Default Help, I'm stupid! 2004 2.4l Auto Trans Swap 2010 2.4l trans

So.i let several different people work on my car and it's been a disaster. It's a 2004 2.4l auto sedan and I found out they put in a B90A 2.4l auto trans from I think a 2010. Now it's got TPS sensor and two others and it won't shift to 2nd gear. Dude told me to buy a new wiring harness because it was the problem. I don't believe him LoL is that a strait forward swap or do I need a new ecm? Any help is appreciated. Learn from me, don't swap drugs for car repairs Hahaha i uploaded the ttans tag from the one currently in the car

Before doing anything else, can you post the actual codes on here?

Also, what work was done on the car other than the transmission swap?

The original transmission wouldn't go out of 2nd and it had a code for the TPS. So he got a transmission out of a 2010 with the same motor and thought it would work. But then decided, hey, maybe it wasn't the transmission, maybe it had a bad ecm harness....It's a **** show. I'm just wondering can a 8th gen 2.4l auto go into my 7th geb 2.4l auto. Or does all kinds of **** need to be swapped now?

Exchanging an identical transmission would have been ideal. A 2010 into a 2004 can work, but you'd have to do some homework on the sensors and contorls to make sure the 04 ECU can operate a 2010 transmission. Just from a quick search, it looks like the gear ratios are the same between the 04 and 10 accords, so the swap is possible.

It is hard to help without some specific codes to get an idea of the potential causes of your shifting problem.

I totally understand, thank u for that information. I was wondering if it could maybe get a custom program made if that would be cheaper. But seriously thank you, I've had hard time finding any info. I genuinely appreciate it
