Default Help Removing Transmission

2001 Honda Accord, 5 sp. manual, 4 cylinder. My subframe does not have a removable piece like I see on youtube video. the subframe is in two pieces, but the pieces that run front to back are welded in the front and bolted in the back. I am replacing the clutch and was hoping that there was enough room with the tranny pulled away from engine without dropping it to the ground. Found out not enough space. Do I drop the front portion of the subframe by removing the two front bolts and the three bolts on each side that connect the two parts of the subframe, leaving the back part of the subframe bolted to the body to support the motor? I probably need to support the front of the motor after removing the roll resistor mount that connects to the subframe. Thanks. John

Not sure of your description. The subframe has to come off.

A good shop manual will help and is well worth the ~$22 - look at "automanualsource dot com"
