Default help! taillights out

i have a 2005 2 door honda accord coupe and i noticed that my tail lights are out but the back turn signals are working. i checked the fuse but that's ok. i was told that maybe it could be an electrical problem. i don't think so since the back signal lights are working. what else can i check besides the fuse and bulbs.

Default RE: help! taillights out

It could be bulbs, but w/ both lights out I would check the brake light switch on the brake pedal. It may be stuck in open position (spring does not close switch when brake pedal moves forward). On the other hand, you like most folks may never check their brake lights and may not have noticed that both have gone out. Start w/ bulbs as these are much easier to check than brake switch.

good luck
