Question Hesitation on acceleration 00 Accord SE

Hello everyone! Newbie to the forum and generally ignorant about cars, but trying to learn. I'm the only owner of a 2000 Accord SE, approx 220,000 miles with regular oil changes, etc. I love this car and want to keep it as long as I can!

In the past week or so, I've been getting hesitations when I press the gas pedal from a stopped position, like at a light. It's intermittent and once I get past 2-3 rpms, there is no problem. I've heard it could be the fuel filter, which after some research, that seems unlikely for my car. I've also heard EGR valves might need to be cleaned out.

I'm wondering if it's anything I can fix myself or have fixed cheaply. Thanks!

The first thing you want to do is to have the codes read.

i would suggest you do a clean up on the injector nozzle, also check spark plugs if they are still ok

A fuel issue would usually be present at higher RPMs and not right at initial acceleration.

Is this a 4 or 6 cylinder?
